Alyeska has had a record 283 inches of snow in December. Currently they are nearing 339 inches or approximately 30 feet. The only place that has had more snow is my hometown of Valdez, Alaska. We had about five feet of the stuff in as many days.

Alyeska is a great ski resort and should be even better with its new owner, Cirque Property, lead by John Byrne and Don McLean. They plan to introduce new terrain, increase lifts, and improve backcountry skiing.
