Planning on heading to Wyoming for this winter's 2006-2007 ski season, read what's new for Jackson Hole, Snow King Resort and Grand Targhee Resort.

The Jackson Hole area of the Northwest United States is home to three truly inspired ski resorts. Grand Targhee Resort, Snow King Resort and the supreme Jackson Hole are all within an hour’s drive, as well as nearby to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. Read on to find out what's new with Wyoming's ski resorts for 2006-2007.

Jackson Hole-Teton Village, Wyoming. Jackson Hole is celebrating its 40th anniversary this ski season. To add to the celebration, The Reader Survey 2006 for Ski Magazine, has rated Jackson Hole #12 as best overall ski resort in the Western United States. It is no surprise that this exclusive rating is directly attributed to Jackson Hole’s challenging terrain. The resorts inbound skiing is as if you are on out-of-bounds terrain. Special Events: 40th Anniversary Ruby Weekend Ball, February 23-25, 2007. The Ruby Ball is a black tie event.

2nd Annual Winter Jackson Hole Mountain Festival, March 24-April, 8, 2007. Tasty food, fun music and an awesome time to be had by all!

Snow King Resort-Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Snow King Resort may be the “other” Jackson Hole ski resort, but it shouldn’t be overlooked. Just a short 12-mile ride to Jackson Hole’s Teton Village, it is a crime for a skier not to take full advantage of what both resorts have to offer.

In time for Christmas, Snow King Resort’s ongoing Love Ridge Resort Lodge renovations will be complete. There is also a new run for the beginner skier. Check out: Snow King for more information.

Grand Targhee Resort-Alta, Wyoming. Grand Targhee is proud to boast that its powder is the “best snow in North America.” When visiting Grand Targhee enjoy the powder, but remember to also take note of their “green power” lifts. All lifts are powered by renewable energy generated from a hydroelectric dam and wind. Congratulations, on your environmentally friendly vacation!
